It's been over 10 years since the ROC launched!
The ROC stands for Rely On Christ.
It is a philosophy both of worship, and of faith. It is an
affirmation of our purpose both as individuals, and as a whole.
We want to be like the wise one, who built his house on the
rock. We want to be like Peter, the rock on whom Christ built
His Church. We want to Rely On Christ, and recognize
that the Lord is the Rock. When we come together, we come to
recognize God as our Rock, to sing His praises, and to learn
how to further Rely On Christ.
So what is this ministry of the ROC? The
ROC is for people who want more--who want to know
more about Jesus, and want to go deeper in their faith. It
exists not as an alternative to a corporate worship experience,
but as an addendum/supplement/addition to that worship. It's
not meant to replace your church--it's meant to give you
more.
Our purpose is simply this: to
encourage people to rely on Christ. James 4:8 says,
"Come near to God and He will come near to you." We seek to
come near to God, to know His Son Jesus Christ, and to Rely
On Christ.
